Breyting Living

How we live doesn’t make sense; it’s not working for many of us. We don’t have time to enjoy our lives or follow our passions; we can’t afford to care for ourselves, our families, or our loved ones. Breyting Living is reshaping housing plans, furniture designs, and food growing systems to accommodate muti-generational and shared living lifestyles while working within the confines of the current systems (building code, local zoning, design standards, insurance, and mortgages).

H-house

The H-House™is Breyting’s affordable cohousing solution for today’s shared living lifestyles. The H-House is a multigenerational “flex-home” designed to empower people throughout the different stages of their individual life cycle, be that single, coupled, marriage, children, income-generating, elder care, and aging-in-place. Every H-House is as environmentally conscious, energy-efficient, comfortable, and scalable as possible.

Caille House

Our Caille house is designed for shared living and inspired by music and the deep heritage of early southern vernacular architectural styles: the Florida Cracker and the Louisiana Shotgun, which the Haitian Caille inspired, or Kay.

LIVE, WORK, AND PLAY

This small and forgotten railway was once a vital thoroughfare for DeLand’s downtown and an important part of the town’s history.  Railroad operator Seaboard Coastline Railroad, once owned the tracks the lofts will be built on, hence the name Coastline Lofts. These 14 lofts are designed for living, working, and playing in downtown.
