Coastline LoftsDeLand, FL
Residential lofts and artist lofts in historic downtown Deland.
From $198k to $389k
The design inspiration for Coastline Lofts is based on the style of a 1930s train station. The buildings are being contructed on the grounds of an abandoned railway in downtown DeLand, FL. This development project involves three buildings that will contain 12 residential lofts and two street-facing artist lofts. The lofts are located at the corner of Florida Avenue and W. Ohio Avenue, one block from Stetson University and two blocks from historic downtown DeLand.
Coastline Lofts is named for railroad operator Seaboard Coastline Railroad which merged with Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. This small and forgotten piece of history was once a vital thoroughfare for DeLand’s downtown. We have gone to great measures to ensure we are creating a community the local residents of DeLand will be proud of, including honoring the architectural period of the early 1930s while infusing timeless modern design elements and improved building methods. Throughout the US, less than 1% of dwellings are lofts, and it’s difficult to find smaller, affordable lofts with the feeling of volume that high ceiling and big windows can bring—a place that feels bigger than the square footage alone and features higher-end amenities and material selection.
“Own less. Live more” is the motto for this development. The floor plans range from 785 sq ft to 1,200 sq ft, and each is designed as true loft spaces—open and creative. The Coastline Lofts are ideal for active people who want to live, work, and play downtown. The lofts will be governed by a holistic approach to a Home Owners Association (HOA), including a conflict resolution process that addresses much of the risk associated with living in a condo community. The lofts will have a Zen rock garden, fire pit, water fountains, and an art mural wall. Xeriscaped, native-landscaping will reduce the need for irrigation and lower ongoing maintenance costs for the homeowners.
