Welcome to the Breyting® website operated by Breyting, LLC. In the interest of enhancing trust with you, our valued customer, we want you to fully understand our terms of sale. We may change or update these terms periodically, so please check this page regularly.

When you make a purchase from the website, you may create an account as part of the checkout process. Please choose a secure password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and restricting access to your password and account. You are responsible for all purchases and activities that occur through your account.

Placing an order does not necessarily guarantee that we will accept your order. All items are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to impose quantity limits on any order, to reject all or part of an order, and to discontinue products without notice, even if you have already placed your order. We reserve the right to refuse any order at our sole discretion.

All prices for coffee and other products (and the associated costs of shipping and tax, etc.) are shown in U.S. dollars.

The advertised prices are firm. There are no discounts available unless it is specified on our website or catalog. Breyting currently accepts Visa and MasterCard credit cards. By submitting your order, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the designated credit card and authorize us to charge your order (including shipping and handling, taxes, etc.) to that card. If the card cannot be verified, is invalid, or is otherwise not acceptable, your order may be suspended or cancelled automatically.

Paid orders typically ship within three business days. Our standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern.

Partial shipments will be approved prior to shipping.

Standard shipping is typically via UPS, Federal Express, or the U.S. Postal Service, and you should allow five to eight business days for standard delivery once an order has been shipped.

The shipping charge shown during the checkout process is subject to verification. Actual shipping costs may vary based on third-party policies and rates.

All orders are shipped FOB from our roastery in DeLand, Florida.

Title to products passes from Breyting to you upon shipment, and we are not responsible for any shipping delays or problems once the product has been shipped.

If you received damaged or defective Items or shortages and fulfillment errors—no worries. We ask that you make us aware of your claim within ten business days of receipt of goods and, if possible, send photos of the defective merchandise with your return request to hello@breyting.com.

After payment, your order is complete. We will begin to prepare your order, including roasting your coffee. All cancellations between ordering and shipping are subject to Breyting approval. While we’re glad to make every effort to work with you and your specific situation, we cannot cancel an order after it’s been shipped.

In every relationship, there is a possibility of misunderstanding, changed circumstances, or emergence of new information. Expectations may be unfulfilled. We want to build a relationship that endures change and can withstand and transform conflict.

This procedure is meant to help with the times when we need to have a difficult conversation, discuss change, or engage conflict.

By doing business with us, you agree to follow our How We Treat Each Other as the guidelines for interacting.

No one likes to waste the time or resources on going to court except as a last resort. We agree that litigation is an option only in the most extreme cases where no other option is available and the issue cannot be just set aside, for example, to protect a brand or mark.

The process below is a precondition to filing any lawsuit. We will take as many of these steps as necessary to get resolution:

1) We will attempt to talk through issues or disagreements, starting with a conversation between us. To initiate a conversation, please send an email to hello@breyting.com with a request for a conversation, three possible dates and times within our standard business hours, and a brief description of the issue.

2) Someone from Breyting will contact you to schedule a conversation within five days of receiving your request.

3) Before any conflict resolution meeting, we will take the time to read our How We Treat Each Other, as a reminder of who we are and what we are about.

4) If we are unable to resolve the issue in our conversations, we will meet with a mediator or a mutually agreeable conflict resolution professional. Costs of mediation will be equally shared.

5) If either of us refuses to participate after three invitations and three months have passed, and important issues are left unsettled, a lawsuit may be filed for the purpose of enforcing this procedure.

6) If, after four attempts, there is no progress toward resolution, the parties agree that they are deadlocked and may follow through with a lawsuit.

7. If litigation becomes unavoidable, the substantially prevailing party will be entitled to recover reasonable attorneys’ fees, legal assistance fees, and costs, including those incurred in all bankruptcy and probate proceedings, from the substantially losing party.

These terms and your purchase of products from Breyting through the website www.breyting.com shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida (Orange County) without resort to its conflict of law provisions to the contrary.

Since our founding, Breyting has partnered with wonderful organizations in the areas of environmental protection and conservation, education, economic development, social justice, human rights, public health, and animal rights. Creating and applying guidelines that do not marginalize these good causes can sometimes be a challenging task. For this reason, we look at every organization on an individual basis. However, as a rule, we seek to align Breyting with non-partisan partners that do not discriminate based on race, sex, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation. We look for philanthropic organizations that utilize a significant portion of their donated funds to accomplish their primary mission as opposed to administrative expenses. Any animal welfare organization must not participate in the breeding, entertainment, or exploitation of animals for profit.
